The challenge
- One of the challenges was to create awareness around seven offices for a specialisation track that will become part of the traineeship. Every office is responsible for the set-up and content of this specialisation track.
The result
- Seven offices are aware of the specialisation track and have a desired person that takes ownership.
My responsibilities
- Make sure every office is aware of the change of the program
- Make sure the right people take ownership
- Make sure that on day one the participant is welcomed by the office manager
- Inform the participant how the program is set-up and who is responsible
- Motivate offices to have cross unit collaborations
The things I've learned
- When starting something new, people need constant reminders of the particular change to make this part of their routine
- Someone should be responsible and take ownership of the assigned tasks
- Face to face contact helps to get things done
- Make more people aware of the change that is going to take place. Don’t focus on one person
“If I need to describe you, I see an enthusiast, caring, independent and creative woman. What do these words mean? You are capable of taking responsibility of an assignment as the Young Professional Academy. This is a tough assignment that you accepted before fully understanding what this all included. That is brave and needs to suit your personality. You may see this as normal, but it’s the opposite. You bring this with flair.”
